With Rice down by five with just over two minutes left and no timeouts, it was obvious that the Owls needed to go for the onside kick. What no one accounted for, was this amazing reverse kick onside kick by the Rice kicker. The play couldn’t have been executed more flawlessly, with the ball traveling just past the 10-yard mark and the Owls recovered. The Houston Cougars looked absolutely stunned, and rightfully so, this should be on SportsCenter’s Top 10. Unfortunately the Owls were unable to get into the end zone and lost 31-26. [YouTube]

With six guys lined up to his left and four to his right, Roswell lined up as though he was going to kick it left-footed, his...
Normally, when it comes to athletics at Rice folks think baseball first, but the football team is starting to make people take notice. There is some talent on the squad-- like quarterback Taylor McHargue and wide receiver Turner Petersen to name two-- that is capable of making some big plays.
Last Saturday against the Houston Cougars the best play did not come from one of them...
All the HQ is going to say is "watch..."
Rice's Chris Boswell goes all crossover-flip kick and WR Klein Kubiak picks it up...
