Rich Rodriguez has gained three assistant coaches but lost two quarterbacks. The newly hired Arizona coach has brought in three of his former Michigan and West Virginia assistants as the first appointments to his new staff. Tony Gibson, Calvin Magee and Tony Dews all coached at the University of Pittsburgh last year. Magee will serve as associate head coach and offensive coordinator, Gibson will be Arizonas secondary coach, and Dews becomes wide receivers coach. At the same time, Arizona announced that quarterbacks Tom Savage and Daxx Garman intend to transfer. Their decisions leave Rodriguez with one scholarship quarterback -- fifth-year senior Matt Scott -- on the roster. Savage, a freshman All-American at Rutgers in 2009, sat out the past season after transferring in. He told Rodriguez he wants to return closer to his home in Pennsylvania.
