Found October 24, 2011 on Deadspin:
This happened Saturday night during a commercial break in Stanford's blowout win over Washington, which was broadcast on ABC/ESPN. McDonough, the play-by-play man, is a Syracuse grad, and Syracuse had beaten the **** out of West Virginia the night before. Just as the cameras found Oliver Luck in the stands, McDonough didn't take too kindly to a remark that Matt Millen, McDonough's broadcast partner, had attributed to Luck about Syracuse. Luck is the father of Stanford QB Andrew Luck and the athletic director at West Virginia. McDonough apparently thinks he is something else altogether. [Real Clear Sports; h/t to Matt D.] More »

Cards are bad, but are they suckforluck bad?

When it became clear the Cardinals were headed for their fifth straight loss Sunday against the Steelers, writers throughout the press box began a frantic search for new ways to spin the same old story -- about what felt like the same old team. Mine was an innocent tweet, a little gallows humor to lighten the mood. "The Cards are currently No. 4 in the NFL Draft order."...

The Andrew Luck Sweepstakes, Vol I

Baltimore and Jacksonville play tonight on Monday Night Football and while the Jags aren't scaring anyone (well, except you, Tennessee), they're currently out of the hunt for Andrew Luck. Three teams are currently winless in the NFL: St. Louis, Miami and Indianapolis. The most surprising of these may actually be St. Louis, who probably expected more out of Sam Bradford and...

Football. A Daily Dose of Luck

It's not often your quarterback can be likened to a "vitamin," but that's true of Stanford's Andrew Luck. That and more in this week's Stanford football notebook.

Stanford-Southern Cal Preview

While much has been made about Heisman Trophy candidate Andrew Luck's tremendous play under center, Stanford's running game is starting to emerge as one of the best in the country. With their offense clicking on all cylinders, the fourth-ranked Cardinal try to extend the nation's longest winning streak to 16 games when they visit No. 20 USC in a prime-time matchup Saturday...

49er says Andrew Luck's draft stock would fall if he played in the SEC

49ers defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois is an admitted college football junkie and why not? He went to LSU. Jean Francois has also seen plenty of Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck and he has a strong opinion on Everybody's All-American. "If he was in the SEC (Southeastern Conference) his...

Barkley, Luck: Closer Than They Appear

Stanford's Andrew Luck and USC's Matt Barkley are comparable, at least on paper. And while Luck has the edge in intangibles, Barkley can use Saturday to prove he's worth being in the 'first-round pick conversation.'

2012 NFL Mock Draft 10-26-11

Halfway through the season and Stanford QB supreme/BMOC Andrew Luck is seeing his draft stock remain just as high as it was last spring. He’s told the media how dumb he believes the “suck for Luck” campaign is. Are NFL teams are really even intentionally sucking in order to take the most sought after signal caller in college football?. Maybe. We explored this concept back...

Sparano: 'I Talk to Myself a Lot'

Dolphins fans (some of them, at least) may be cheering Miami's descent to the bottom rungs of the NFL, so long as it gives the team the top spot in April's NFL Draft. But the players and coaching staff responsible for the Dolphins' current predicament clearly aren't as rosy about the prospect of drafting Stanford QB Andrew Luck, since a good portion of them will...

After poor start, Chiefs riding 3-game win streak

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) A few weeks ago, many Chiefs fans were lobbying to join the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. Kansas City had lost three straight games, two in historically bad fashion, not to mention the four preseason games before that. The Chiefs had endured a slew of season-ending injuries to some of their best players, and fans were pining for the superstar quarterback from Stanford...

49ers player says Andrew Luck's draft stock will fall if he plays SEC team in bowl game

In a move that could prove unpopular with his coach, San Francisco 49ers nose tackle Ricky Jean Francois said Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck's sky-high NFL potential will drop if he has to play a Southeastern Conference defense in a bowl game.

USC will be Stanford’s toughest road game of the season

USC WILL BE STANFORD’S TOUGHEST ROAD GAME OF THE SEASON – Stanford began to prove its worthiness as a top 10 team with its 65-21 pounding of then-No. 25 Washington at Stanford, but the Cardinal can cement that status with a win on Oct. 29 against USC, which will pose a more difficult obstacle than Washington. There are five reasons USC will be the Cardinal’s biggest challenge...
