AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State middle linebacker Jesse Smith, who keyed the Cyclones' first win at Nebraska since 1977 Saturday, has been named the Walter Camp Football Foundation BCS Defensive Player of the Week. Smith made a team high 12 tackles (seven solos), with two stops behind the line of scrimmage and broke up a pass as ISU forced eight Husker turnovers. Smith, a senior, also forced a fumble before making the game's final interception with 1:53 left in the contest to ice Iowa State's 9-7 win.
