A couple of South Carolina Gamecocks defensive assistant football coaches got into a heated altercation on the sidelines during Saturday's game against Georgia.
It happened early in the third quarter as linebackers coach Kirk Botkin and defensive line coach Deke Adams appeared to be having a disagreement over strategy. Botkin suddenly got into Adams' face, and the coaches had to be separated by another assistant and strong safety Brison Williams. Ironically, South Carolina had just stuffed Georgia with a three-and-out defensive sequence right before the altercation broke out.
Fortunately no punches were thrown, and we hope that Botkin and Adams were able to work out their disagreements behind closed doors after the game. You can tell these coaches badly wanted to win, and you have to respect their passion for the game. The score was tied at 24-24 at the time of the altercation, but Georgia ended up winning the game 41-30. We'll see if this incident has any ramifications for the Gamecocks down the road.

I am going to ask Clowney to use his brain for a minute. If I am running an offense, why would I run plays toward the most disruptive player on defense, that would be stupid. Clowney better get use to it and figure out a way to make an impact while being the center of attention from offenses. Clowney said it's becoming increasingly frustrating to make plays with offenses going...
Like North Carolina did last week, the Georgia Bulldogs' gameplan was to play away from South Carolina Gamecocks All-American DE Jadeveon Clowney, and just like NC, they did it with success, neutralizing the would-be first round draft pick in their 41-30 win. After the game, Clowney had a lot to say.

South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney expressed his frustration for his role in the Gamecocks struggling defense after Saturday’s loss to Georgia.
“Very frustrating,” Clowney said via ESPN.com. “I told the coaches you got to put me somewhere else — in the middle if you want to — somewhere I can make some plays [to] help my team get in position...
Tensions flew on the sidelines of the South Carolina – Georgia game after Georgia and some USC coaches started yelling at each other then fighting. They had to be physically separated. You can’t hear what they are saying but it doesn’t sound pleasant. I don’t even know what they were arguing about. They actually held Georgia to a 3 and out right before their altercation and...
Gamecocks defensive star Jadeveon Clowney is already considered a superhero in the state of South Carolina. So it only makes sense that he’ll be repping an Under Armour Batman shirt beneath his jersey today. The school’s Twitter account just sent out a photo of Clowney’s locker ahead of the Gamecocks’ matchup with Georgia.

South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney's stock as the most feared player in college football has taking a severe drop over the first two game of the college football season. Lackluster performances against North Carolina and Georgia have begun to put into question of Clowney's being the number one overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
The pressure seems to be getting...
Some South Carolina defensive coaches showed more fire yesterday than a now hobbled Jadeveon Clowney did.

Will the real Gamecock defense please stand up?
Coming off a loss to Clemson, Georgia had to face the Gamecocks and what some believed was one of the best defenses in college football lead by Jadeveon Clowney, and the Bulldogs made it look easy, shredding the South Carolina defense for 536 total yards. Needless to say head coach Steve Spurrier was not happy with the performance....
Fans had to wait till the second game of the season, but it finally happened--South Carolina bad *ss Jadeveon Clowney sacked the quarterback.
Yeah, so it wasn't a bone crunching hit like the one he laid on that poor Michigan running back last season, but they can't all be like that.
The real question may be whether the team may need to shut...
We have to hand it to the guys at Denver Downs Farm — this is one of the most impressive corn mazes that we’ve come across. The farm, located in Anderson, South Carolina, got extremely fancy with its corn maze creation, and came up with a pretty spectacular looking version with the faces of Steve Spurrier and Dabo Swinney:

If this year's Clemson-South Carolina showdown is anywhere near as epically epic as this corn maze featuring coaches Dabo Swinney and Steve Spurrier, then it's game on.
Under Armour is selling "No. 7 DE" South Carolina-colored t-shirts, which appear to be directly marketing off the likeness of Jadeveon Clowney.
