It’s no secret that Michigan’s road record under Brady Hoke isn’t the greatest, and any game in Happy Valley is sure to be a hostile environment. However, after a comfortable win against Minnesota last week I have to think that the Wolverines are feeling more confident. If Gardner can keep build on his turnover free performance against the Golden Gophers, and I think he will, Michigan will get win number six this Saturday. Final score: 31-20 Chad Godfrey @isportsChad Chad is 5-0 picking the results of Michigan games this year. Michigan leads the all-time series vs Penn State 10-6. The Nittany Lions have won the last three meetings. Hoke has never faced Penn State as a head coach. If Penn State wasn’t going with a true freshman in this one, I would take the Nittany Lions. But they are…and facing a Greg Mattison defense which prides itself on disguising it’s coverages and blitzes…will not be an easy task for the young Christian Hackenberg. He will do well…probably throw for close to 300 yards if not more…but he will throw a couple costly turnovers and cost Penn State the game. I think Devin Gardner will also turn the ball over…and the running game will struggle. Gardner will have to win it..and I think he grows up on this road trip….Michigan wins in come from behind fashion 29-28. Lucas Rains @lucasrains Lucas is 3-0 picking the results of Michigan games this year. Fresh off a solid victory over Minnesota last week, Michigan will improve their record to 6-0 when they travel to Penn State for its first major road test of the season. Penn State enters the contest following its first ever loss to Indiana, so they will be looking to rebound. The Wolverines’ defense will cause problems by pressuring Penn State freshman quarterback Christian Hackenberg. With the emergence of Devin Funchess at wide receiver last week, I see the Penn State defense keying on him. I’m expecting big games out of Jeremy Gallon and Jehu Chesson as a result. Michigan will improve its record to 6-0 as it will defeat Penn State 35-14. Rob White @isportsRob Rob is 5-0 picking the results of Michigan games this year. I really don’t know what to expect from the Wolverines this week. If they are the team I thought they were in the pre-season, they will win this game. It will require another efficient offensive performance in what will be a very hostile environment. I think the defense will play well. Brady Hoke has said that star linebacker Jake Ryan will dress for this game and might play. Here’s betting he gets some snaps in and that will give the defense a true playmaker. Bold prediction: Blake Countess nabs his 5th interception of the season and Devin Funchess will be a nightmare for the Nittany Lions defense.
