Stock Down
Oklahoma and Landry Jones- This seems to be a yearly thing for the Oklahoma Sooners. They come into the season highly rated but falter early in the season. This season that lost was to Kansas State (24-19). KSU is a very good team but still you are Oklahoma you shouldn’t lose these games especially at home. In fact this was Bob Stoop’s first lost at home to a ranked team since he has been at Oklahoma. QB Landry Jones continues to commit in big games. After a breakout sophomore season Jones has regressed. Jones pretty much blew any chance of his Heisman in the loss.
Denard Robinson- Robison has regressed so far in his senior season. On Saturday he threw for 138 passing yards, and he only rushed for 90 yards. The worst part is he committed 5 turnovers, 4 of which were really bad interceptions. In the previous two games against the Fighting Irish Robinson lit up the Notre Dame defense. In the two meetings he averaged 291 passing yards and 183 rushing yards. So far this seaso...

Oklahoma fans wanted Landry Jones benched
College football fans are the best, aren’t they?
Our friend Jerod Morris of Midwest Sports Fans is doing a four-week college football road trip sponsored by La Quinta (which is sponsoring this post), and his first stop was in Norman last weekend to watch Oklahoma lose to Kansas State.
In his recap of the game, (and he has plenty of cool pics and videos for you to check out),...
Oklahoma Sooners: Should Landry Jones be benched?
After the Oklahoma Sooners’ 24-19 defeat to Kansas State on Saturday, I got to briefly revel in the awesomeness that is Collin Klein before finding myself in the position of defending OU quarterback Landry Jones. Midwest Sports Fans’ Jerod Morris took himself a road trip to Norman to watch the game and mentioned how some OU fans were calling for four-year starting senior Jones...
Sooners look to regroup after loss to K-State
Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones thinks the Sooners are still in the national championship race, although he acknowledges he'll have to play better for them to have a chance.
Jones has accepted most of the blame for No. 16 Oklahoma's 24-19 home loss to Kansas State on Saturday, after he fumbled to give the Wildcats one touchdown and threw a momentum-killing interception...

Kansas State Wildcats Scratch Out Sooners’ Championship Hopes
Landry Jones critical mistakes against the Kansas State Wildcats show the senior’s season hopes of a championship are just too far-reaching. Jones’ first turnover came near his own goal line, when he was hit by K-State’s Justin Tuggle which jarred free the ball allowing the Cats to pick up a 7-3 lead and most of the momentum for the rest of the game.Jones is not solely to...

College football road trip week one recap
The first leg in my four-week college football road trip sponsored by La Quinta featured a lot of history.
Unfortunately for the 2012 Oklahoma Sooners and their fans, the history that was made on Saturday night was of the ignominious kind as the 6th-ranked Sooners lost 24-19 to the 15th-ranked Kansas State Wildcats.
How rare was Oklahoma’s whimper of a performance in front of...

Monday Medicine: Oklahoma Sooners
We should probably just give Monday Medicine to our wallets after how big of a dump our picks took this weekend, but we'll get to that later. After watching their Sooners collapse at home against conference rival Kansas State we're filling a prescription for Oklahoma fans. Enjoy Lil Joe Robinson taking this punt to the house to cap off a perfect 1974 season for one of...

Dancing in the Ruins
We're in the same boat on the same sea, and we're sailing south on the same breeze.
After Oklahoma's loss to Kansas State on Saturday, the Sooners find themselves in the same position as USC with dwindling chances of winning a BCS title this season. (Dr. Saturday)
My bad.
Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones takes the blame for the Sooners...
Pick 6: Resetting the Heisman Trophy race
Matt Barkley has slipped back into the pack and Montee Ball has fallen off the board completely. Landry Jones? You can probably take him off the list, too. Same with Tyler Wilson.
All the preseason hype is pretty much out the window. The Heisman Trophy race starts now and it's about results, not hype.
Barkley could still climb back into the race, he's got the talent and...
