Rocky Top comes to Athens this week as Georgia looks to extend their impressive start.

This Georgia defense looks like it has hit its mid-season stride early for the 2012 campaign.  The likely addition of All-American safety, Bacarri Rambo and linebacker, Alec Ogletree from team imposed suspension should only help this solid squad.

Tennessee didn't fare as well but it's easy to get caught looking ahead for a divisional rival.  Quarterback, Tyler Bray's 400 yards and 4 touchdowns versus Akron ended the speculation in the 4th quarter.

So far?  Not bold.  And you were promised.  We put it right in the headline.  (So, see below)

Bold Prediction One:

Georgia fans and impartial fans of this game will be heard to utter; "Just what does Richt think he's doing?!"  This will be just after a timeout called, an obvious timeout not called, several plays in succession that appear to go nowhere, Coach Mark Richt seen in the stands buying a hot dog, looking confused, bewildered, updating his Facebook status, or holding up 4 fingers when he notices others doing it in an attempt to let whoever is in charge of writing this down know that he has 4 (counting his wife) for The Olive Garden after the game.

Some of this isn't his fault.  Richt has that constant look of that guy in line at McDonald's squinting at the menu looking for the long departed McDLT.  He's sure it's there.  The rest can most likely be attributed to his time at Florida St 'learning' 'clock management' from the master, Bobby Bowden.

Bold Prediction Two:

Tyler Bray will get frustrated.  That seems to be a common theme.  He has all the talent to be a top shelf quarterback in this conference but from the neck up there is sometimes a real lack of maturity.  If Tennessee is going to turn this big corner and become a factor in the league, it's going to start with the signal caller.

Look for Jarvis Jones and this defense to keep up the pressure on the Jr quarterback.  Look for Bray to show his usual lack of late game poise under pressure.

Bold Prediction Three:

Georgia has never scored 40 or more points for four straight games before achieving this to open this season.  It's a literary ploy.  A little something we call foreshadowing or... a not so subtle hint for the following prediction.

Don't look for a repeat of last year's 8-point Georgia victory.  This Bulldog team looks hungry.  As hungry as when Matthew Stafford and co put up 41 on Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl.  Todd Grantham's defense has the horses to keep Tennessee off the field most of the night and the emergence of the 1-2 punch of Gurley and Marshall at running back should should have the Georgia receivers free to work some magic in what is sizing up to be a great year in Athens.

Georgia wins big, 40-17.
