Crystal Ball Run:
Tevin Washington of Georgia Tech is facing the Virginia Tech Hokies and defensive coordinator Bud Foster. So far, even though the score is tied, the triple option hasn't been going great for the Yellow Jackets. Tevin Washington was standing close to his end zone where a Virginia Tech Hokie absolutely destroyed him. Washington was lucky enough to get the ball away and avoid the safety. We'll see if the VT defense can continue to contain the option and Beamer Ball prevails

Tevin Washington came very close to leading Georgia Tech to a dramatic comeback.
And when Cody Journell's field goal to end regulation and another in overtime gave No. 16 Virginia Tech a 20-17 victory, Washington knew how close the Yellow Jackets came to the upset.
''It was like an Ali-Frazier fight,'' he said. ''We kind of got it together in the second...

In honor of all those hard working Americans enjoying their day off, I thought I would provide a profit opportunity for those laborers who may be inclined to wager (and thus in close proximity to Nevada) on this evening's Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Tech contest. Tonight's game features two ACC powers in their opener. Virginia Tech holds a 6-3 advantage in the all-time series...
Andrew Jones grades each squad in Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech's season-opening contest.
Well, was it worth the wait? The first weekend of college football is officially in the books. It opened Thursday night with a key SEC East division game and ended with a key ACC division game. Both favorites found a way to escape with a victory after South Carolina avoided an upset bid at Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech gutted out an overtime victory at home. Of course...
1. Florida State (1-0) They could easily get to 69 points again this week.
2. Clemson (1-0) By far the most important win of the week.
3. Virginia Tech (1-0) Offense showed it's lack of experience against Georgia Tech.
4. North Carolina (1-0) Gio Bernard is in mid season form.
5. North Carolina State (0-1) Not a good way for Mike Glennon to make a name for himself nationally...
