The Sports Fan Journal:
By Dr. Jeff A. Glenn / @jagadelic As a longtime Buckeye, I’ve seen the fans of our boys in Columbus get ridiculously amped up for football season. The ’75 team had Heisman Trophy winning Archie Griffin returning and the ’95 team with Eddie George, Terry Glenn and Orlando Pace stirred everyone’s hearts. The ’06 team […]The post The 2013 Ohio State Buckeyes: Probation Is Over And Columbus Is Ready To Celebrate appeared first on The Sports Fan Journal.

Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller narrowly avoided being blown to bits by a rogue missile - if this video is to be taken at face value.
No word yet who fired the missile, although all indications seem to point to "that school up north".

It may have seemed so far away back in January when Alabama head coach Nick Saban raised that crystal football once again following the Crimson Tide’s victory over Notre Dame, but the 2013-2014 college football season has finally arrived.
With the countdown now down to just a few more hours before the likes of South Carolina and North Carolina hit the field, let’s take a look...

The Ohio State Buckeyes should have control of the game in every area against the Buffalo Bulls in week one of the 2013 college football season, but the Bulls’ defense, led by All-MAC linebacker Khalil Mack, won’t be a total pushover and could present Braxton Miller and the Buckeyes’ offense with some challenges.
Mack is one of the best linebackers...
Braxton Miller had to overcome cramps to lead Ohio State to a win over the University at Buffalo. The Buckeyes were far from sharp today, but there were some bright spots: Jordan Hall had a very nice game running for 2 TDs and 159 yards and that experienced Offensive Line were solid.
While the Bulls have aspirations of competing for a MAC Conference Title, Ohio State has to...

COLUMBUS, OH - This what college football is all about.
As I made my way from the Tuttle Parking Garage across from Ohio Stadium, the atmosphere here in Columbus in anticipation for Ohio State’s home opener against the Buffalo Bulls was unlike anything I’ve ever been...
This college football season will be a treat. Fans will get to watch the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, perhaps the most dominant and physically impressive defensive player of the last decade, a quarterback many assume will go first in the 2014 NFL Draft, and a two-time defending BCS National Champion that brings back both their starting quarterback and a running back who rushed...
Johnny Manziel (QB-Texas A&M) – Following up the first ever freshman season to result in a Heisman Trophy will be no easy task for Manziel. When factoring in the tumultuous offseason he has just gone through, repeating the achievement could be next to impossible. However, the
Urban Meyer improved his record as head football coach at Ohio State to 13-0 as his Buckeyes kicked off the season with a 40-20 victory over Buffalo. Ohio State entered the season ranked second in the country and looked the part early on.
On the offense’s first drive of the game Heisman hopeful Braxton Miller connected with an open Devin Smith for a 47 yard touchdown strike. Following...
Second-ranked Ohio State got off to a quick start. After that, it was a bit scary.
Braxton Miller threw two touchdown passes before fighting leg cramps and Jordan Hall ran for two more scores to lead the Buckeyes to a 40-20 victory over Buffalo on Saturday in the season opener for both teams.
The Buckeyes, striving for a crisper start from coach Urban Meyer's debut in 2012...
In the season opener, you expect an inferior opponent and a lack of focus to come into play at some point for the heavy favorite. The only problem was, against the Buffalo Bulls (4-8 last year), the Buckeyes cut the engines a bit after cruising out to a 23-0 first quarter lead. The offense looked phenomenal, frankly unstoppable, to start. But, some careless turnovers, some key leaders...
Ohio State exploded out of the blocks with 23 first-quarter points and then put things on cruise control, capturing a 40-20 victory against Buffalo in the 2013 season opener. The Buckeyes totaled 460 yards of offense, including a career-high 159 yards rushing by senior running back Jordan Hall. QB Braxton Miller added 178 yards and two TDs through the air as well as 77 yards on the ground.
Ohio State had a lot to play for last fall: Making people forget a year of NCAA investigations and innuendo, rebounding from the worst season in more than a century and living up to the expectations of a new coaching staff.
They more than succeeded with a stunning 12-0 turnaround.
Unlike those Buckeyes, however, the 2013 version is allowed to compete for a Big Ten championship...
