The Duck Stops Here:
Many fans say the Ducks won't miss Darron Thomas, and they may very well be right. Bennett and Mariota have a world of talent. Each are better athletes than Thomas, faster, better throwers and runners.

Eugene -- Oregon senior offensive lineman Carson York was a key part of the Ducks' offense last year and fans held their collective breath when he left the playing field during the third quarter of the 2012 Rose Bowl against Wisconsin with a knee injury. On Monday, Oregon held its media day and York was available to update fans on his playing status.

Oregon Head Football Coach Chip Kelly told assembled media that the Ducks conducted a walk-through this morning and will hold the first practice session this afternoon. Oregon is the three-time straight defending conference champion and won the 2012 Rose Bowl by defeating Wisconsin, 45-38.
The quarterback battle will sort itself out. Oregon has two terrific candidates in Bryan Bennett and Marcus Mariota, and Chip Kelly's history shows clearly he's adept at plugging a guy in at qb and making it work. But at tight end, the Ducks have to replace David Paulson, a team leader and MVP who was exceptionally steady and reliable.
