Throw The Flag:
The statue that used to read “UNCONQUERED” was altered to say “Easily CONQUERED” before the Florida Gator – Florida State Seminole matchup. Will Muschamp goes up against an old friend and now foe Jimbo Fisher. The FSU Seminoles are a touchdown favorite at home and look to go on a 3 game win streak.
The number 4 ranked Florida Gators hope to beat FSU and possibly have a berth in the BCS National Championship game. After FSU’s loss to NC State, their national title hopes have pretty much been crushed. Throw out the records on this game. It will be an all out rivalry. Quarterback Jeff Driskel is expected to play despite an ankle injury. If he is not ready, Jacoby Brissett is expected to play. This is the only game in college football in which there is a state law that requires the game to be played this weekend. It should be a good one.

Florida at Florida State: Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. Flash back to 2009. Florida State lost to Miami, South Florida and Florida in the same season.
Jimbo Fisher took over for Bobby Bowden in 2010, and the turnaround has been dramatic against Florida States rivals. Since then, the Seminoles are 6-0 with an unbeaten streak of nearly 1,100 days against Sunshine...
Sunshine State Battle with Huge ImplicationsAs if a possible National Championship berth isn’t enough, this weekend’s in-state rivalry game between Florida and Florida State will set the landscape for college football in the state of Florida for years to come. Under Jimbo Fisher, FSU is 6-0 in the state of Florida; with three consecutive wins over Miami, two consecutive wins...
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. The group includes a quarterback that is 23-5 as a starter. An All-American defensive end. A kicker that has scored the most points in program and ACC history. And a receiver that has a catch in 36 straight games.
Florida State (10-1) will honor its seniors before Saturdays home finale against Florida (10-1). While its a top-10 showdown and a rivalry game with...
Florida at Florida State: Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. The Florida-Florida State game has an old-school feel to it this year for the first time in a long time.
Steve Spurrier and Bobby Bowden would approve.
For the first time in 12 years, both the Gators and Seminoles are ranked in the top 10 for their annual showdown. When this rivalry was college football...
Points could be difficult to come by when sixth-ranked Florida visits No. 10 Florida State.
The Seminoles (10-1, 7-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) lead the nation in total defense and rank among the top five in four other defensive categories while Florida (10-1, 7-1 Southeastern Conference) isn't far behind, going into Saturday's game ranked fourth nationally in total defense...
Florida State would like nothing better than to win some respect at the hands of archrival Florida.
While both teams have one loss, the Gators are No. 6 weekly while the Seminoles are four spots below at No. 10. The difference, apparently, is the teams they've played.
The Gators, whose lone loss is to No. 3 Georgia, will be hunting for their third win this season over a top...
I was thankful for a great many things yesterday–some sports-related; many not. Among those things I was thankful for was the return of the rivalry. I should clarify that before fans from both sides scream foul. When the Florida Gators face the Florida State Seminoles, the rivalry that comes along with it is always present. It wouldn’t matter if these teams had losing records...
