Manchester City vs Manchester United
Sunday 11am NBC Sports
The world’s biggest Derby isn’t in early May in Louisville…it’s in Manchester, England. The two Manchester teams enter this early Barclay’s Premiership match with identical records, 2-1-1, and both coming off big wins in their debut Champions League Group stage. United seems to have reevaluated it’s game plan following a loss to Liverpool, and has seen Wayne Rooney remind us, and himself, of how great he can be. He has scored 3 goals in his last two games, including 2 great free kicks. Moyes has gained control by inserting some new blood in the lineup with Fellaini and the young Janujaz playing quality minutes.
Manchester City has yet to face a big opponent this season, but has a bad loss against Cardiff City and a disappointing draw versus Stoke. The team will have their sights on victory against rival United and look to make some noise in the race to the title. They did have a breakout game against FC Viktoria as their big names propelled them to a 3-0 win with Toure, Aguero, and Dzeko all scoring. Etihad Stadium will be rocking and City will look to protect their pitch. 100′s of millions of viewers will tune in for what will be a great match between two of the world’s biggest clubs. I think United’s form is top class at the moment with Van Persie and Rooney on the same page but world class defenders like Vincent Kompany will be ready to stop the attack. This will be a great way to start your Sunday before NFL games start.

Michigan State vs Notre Dame
Saturday @3:30 PM ABC
The biggest asset for the Irish last year was defense. The biggest problem this year may be defense! The team allowed 24 pts and nearly lost to a poor Purdue team. It all could be going wrong for Notre Dame at South Bend as their struggling defense welcome in the rival Spartans. They face a Michigan State team that hasn’t played top opponents but statistically has the nations top defense including scoring 4 of the first 6 TD’s for MSU. Tommy Rees has been competent so far with over 900 yds with 7 td’s and just 2 ints. Yet, the defense has given up the 24 to Purdue in a victory and an abysmal 41 to Michigan in a loss. Sparty sophmore Connor Cook threw for 4 TD’s in his first major action of the season against Youngstown State and will hold the keys to the MSU offense. This game looks to be a shootout and the loss will be a huge disappointment for either team. You would think Notre Dame at home and senior QB at the helm how could they lose…but the magical season of 2012 may disappear as quickly as Manti’s girlfriend.

Nick Saban Rumors
Nick Saban is going to Texas….Nick Saban is never leaving Alabama….Nick Saban is going to Dallas…Nick Saban plays Jazz Flute…College football’s biggest name is Nick Saban, so it’s important if he is leaving Tuscaloosa but let’s not talk about it for the next 5 months. If he decides to jump ship from a guaranteed chance at a national title to rebuild Texas, then good luck to him. If he stays at Alabama to try to upend the legend of Bear Bryant, then good luck to him. Nick Saban can do whatever he wants. Do I think he should leave for Texas…no. Do I think he can be considered the greatest college coach of all time with another National Championship…yes. The media is going to build up Texas as some type of Taj Mahal of college football but to anyone outside of Texas and under the age of 40, it’s not a juggernaut. They have had a nice program with big money and great recruits but only one title since 1970. Talking heads will over dramatize their importance but there may be 10 programs that have been more relevant in the last 30 years. With Saban at the helm, Texas would again find it’s glory but if he stays in Bama, they will continue their relative success. I just don’t want to talk about until Mack Brown leaves or Nick Saban shows up in orange yelling “Hook ‘Em Horns”

Regents from the University of Texas and Nick Saban's agent, Jimmy Sexton, have reportedly spoken about the Texas Longhorns head coaching position.
Well, Alabama Crimson Tide fans. It’s time for you to get angry and laugh at Texas Longhorn fans. Since Mack Brown is on the hot seat, people actually think Nick Saban will go to Texas. Of course, Saban is infamous in lying to the media and saying that he would not take the coaching job at Alabama but ended up going there. There is no way this happens but the fact that Longhorn...
On the morning drive to work, sport’s talk show host Paul Finebaum was still on the subject. The fact that University of Texas fans continue to think its a possibility that Nick Saban would consider to replace Mack Brown.
The Associated Press reported on Thursday that a current and former Texas regent contacted Nick Saban’s agent, Jimmy Sexton, in January about the concept.
Back in 2010, Alabama head football coach Nick Saban and Texas HC Mack Brown filmed a commercial for EPSN College GameDay. The two coaches has earlier in the year faced each other when Alabama beat Texas for its first BCS title under Saban.
This commercial is ironic as reports circulate that Saban was targeted to replace Brown at Texas as early as January.

Nick Saban has put together a dynasty at Alabama and seems to be happy there, but if one job could make him leave Tuscaloosa, it might be Texas. According to a report, at least one side has interest in that happening. The Associated Press reported on Thursday that Saban’s agent, Jimmy Sexton, spoke with University […]
Maybe all the people who want change at the top of the University of Texas need to just wait a couple of years.
According to Alabama head coach Nick Saban, who some people would love to see in Austin, there's another coach in the making with strong ties to the University of Texas Ricky Williams.
So maybe Williams isn't the solution right now, as he's in his first season...
AUSTIN, Texas -- A few days after Alabama won the 2013 national championship, a University of Texas regent and a former regent talked with Nick Saban's agent about the possibility of the Crimson Tide coach replacing Longhorns coach Mack Brown, The Associated Press has learned.

The Associated Press has learned that a University of Texas regent and a former regent spoke with Alabama coach Nick Saban's agent about Saban coaching the Longhorns if Mack Brown retired.
The meeting took place a few days after Alabama won the national championship in January. Two days later, Brown was approached by the former regent to consider retiring. Brown, who had just...
Jim McElwain has labored in college football's ''Mecca'' under Alabama coach Nick Saban and run the offense for two national championship teams.
Now Colorado State's head coach, McElwain returns to Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday night as a heavy underdog trying to find a way to beat his old boss and stop former quarterback pupil AJ McCarron.
Fans in Austin are going to want a big name coach; someone they can look at and think that he is going to turn things around in a heart beat. It has been no secret that the Longhorns are interested in Nick Saban; also no secret that he has no interest in leaving Alabama. So why not go after LSU Head Coach Les Miles?
The answer to that is easy--because he...
This just confuses things even more. Texas coach Mack Brown thinks he is digging his way out, while Longhorns power brokers are trying to figure out how to gently get rid of him. The story was mysteriously leaked during the week that Texas officials had talked with Nick Saban's agent in January about whether Saban might be interested in taking over the program. Did Brown think...
Mack Brown will not be the coach at Texas forever. If Texans fans, and a particular Texas regent has their way, Nick Saban will be the next coach. The Associated Press is reporting that a regent reached out to Nick Saban’s agent, Jimmy Sexton after the national championship game last year:
Regent Wallace Hall of Dallas told the AP he spoke by telephone with agent Jimmy Sexton a...
