Like other Huskies before him, Desmond Trufant had a chance to check out the Green Room at Radio City Music Hall in New York City but decided to be with his family in Tacoma instead Thursday as his 2013 NFL Draft fate is expected to be revealed. Will he be taken by a team in the first round tonight? Or will he have to wait 24 more hours to find out his professional future?

First Round NFL Draft Grades: Atlanta Falcons

PICK: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington ANALYSIS: Atlanta had been rumored to be wanting to move up for someone, and Trufant was one of the names commonly tossed around in that discussion. Atlanta certainly needed a corner, and Trufant was the best CB on the board. They were smart to jump Minnesota and Indy to grab him. I'm still surprised St. Louis traded down instead...

Falcons Fans Sound Off on Desmond Trufant Pick

I love the fact that you can get on Twitter and immediately take the temperature of a fanbase. In the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons traded their third and sixth round picks for the right to trade up from #30 to #22 and pick Washington CB Desmond Trufant. As always there is some mixed reaction but overall the majority of the response was positive...

Falcons Trade Up and Select Desmond Trufant

The Atlanta Falcons traded up as expected in the 2013 NFL Draft. The Falcons moved up to #22 in the first round to select Desmond Trufant of Washington. Trufant is a talented kid and definitely fits a need. Trufant now moves into the Falcons secondary along with Asante Samuel and Robert McClain. The Falcons gave up their third round pick and their sixth round pick for...

And with 22nd overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft the Atlanta Falcons select…

Desmond Trufant CB from the University of Washington.  This is a great pick for the Falcons as he has speed to burn.  He has the ability to be a shut down corner on an already solid defense.  As a senior he was a first team All Pac-12 selection.[4] UW was ranked No.16 in the nation (second in the Pac-12) in pass defense (188.9 yards allowed per game) at the end of the regular...

Atlanta Falcons Move Up in First Round, Draft Desmond Trufant

The Atlanta Falcons wasted no time in getting their player in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft, as the team made a trade with the St. Louis Rams to select Washington CB Desmond Trufant. The trade, which saw Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff come to terms on a deal with former Falcons director of player personnel-turned Rams general manager Les Snead, saw Atlanta...
