It wasn’t a very exciting weekend of college football, but you get that with bye weeks hitting full stride. Surprisingly, I still got to see a good amount of games. For those who hadn’t heard, my son was born almost exactly a week ago (7:46 AM a week ago) he’s doing very well, and is coming home from the hospital today (I’m excited). We got the little man coached up early though…so my analysis comes from the 20 inch Sony Trinitron that was in my wife’s hospital room, can Herbie say that? They get hair on their balls, they think they’re tough… If you were to write a thesis on how to dominate every facet of Michigan’s offense (see Shoelace, Shoelace, and Shoelace), you’d be applauding at a butterfly’s rate after Saturday. Michigan State’s defense absolutely manhandled the Michigan offense. They also managed to add few cheap shots here and there…but it all won’t matter as they get butt-hurt by ‘SKONSIN this Saturday. William Gholston played a little dirty, and there were some plays that were played a little bit beyond the rules, but MSU isn’t dirty.  This is the first game of this kind behavior, and it was Michigan.  But what is getting overlooked is how good MSU’s defense is.  They are actually fast.  Wisconsin is going to lose. /rubs lucky rabbit foot Michigan fans learned a lesson as well…they aren’t back (being back for Michigan is a 9-3 season where they lose a couple head scratchers and to Ohio State, yet end the season generously ranked in the top ten of all points of life) Michigan won’t ever be back.  I only say that because I don’t think any of us know where back is. Chicle? Chicle? Chicle?….You just knew the Zooker had it in him. Take an absolutely frail and disabled Ohio State team teetering on nuclear holocaust, and get smacked despite the Buckeyes attempting FOUR passes. I think it is time Urban takes over.  There’s a lot of talent in Champaign.  It worked before, right? The Muppets once took Manhattan…Don’t let Bill Snyder’s incontinence fool you, the guy can still coach. K-State is back in the top 15 after a few seasons of irrelevancy. Can they sustain this magic? In 3 weeks they go Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M. The short answer is no. The long answer is, I wouldn’t want to deal that sucker punch either. I’m very excited about the Muppet Movie. To the AP voter that ranked Boise State over Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Wisconsin…cute. Wisconsin hasn’t played anybody. I really don’t have a problem with anyone ranking them over the Badgers. Three Card Monte, legit…The SEC East is now Georgia’s after Marcus Lattimore’s knee ‘sploded on Saturday. The ***** could easily win out and end up in Atlanta, but that would require the offense to move beyond ol’ Mark Mark. SEC East = NFC West It’s that yeller sauce you get at the Chinese place in the mall…Stanford silently keeps rolling, while Oregon gets all the love. I know it was ESPN’s way of promoting their games, but they practically put the Ducks in the PAC-12 championship. November 12th… Oregon is Kung Pao.  General Tso is coaching in the pros now.  Stanford is steamed shrimp. Nothing to get excited about. If you were awarding the Heisman today, you’d give it to? Trey: Russell Wilson. There are few players you can point to and say, “he changed the image of the program.” Wilson has taken Wisconsin football from women’s basketball to watchable. Dave K: Isn’t this award supposed to go to the most outstanding player in college football?   I would vote for Robert Griffin III.  Would many others? Probably not, because people are dumb.
