Found November 07, 2013 on Sports Injury Alert:
University of Virginia cornerback Demetrious Nicholson is finished for the season according to Head Coach Mike London. The junior cornerback injured his toe during a loss to Ball State on October 5th and the injury has not shown improvement after four weeks. Coach London told that Nicholson will not require surgery, but will instead wear a protective boot for several weeks. Both UVA starting cornerbacks are now out with injuries for Saturday’s game against the University of North Carolina. Sophomore cornerback Maurice Canady has also been out for the past two weeks with a medical condition. Coach London said he was not optimistic that Canady will return for the game against UNC. Nicholson has started in 30 games and had 20 tackles, four pass break ups and an interception for this season. Freshman Tim Harris has been starting at cornerback for UVA in place of Nicholson. Harris has had 20 tackles and two pass breakups this season.
