We won that game.  This may sound like the bitter ranting of a sore loser, but that Danny Coale catch was a TD.  I don't know how the refs could overturn a call they made that showed absolutely NO sign of a reversal.  His elbow was down before the ball touched the ground, and then even after the ball touched the ground, there was absolutely no sign that the ball moved or that the catch was aided by the ground. How you overturn a pivotal call like that with no evidence for the contrary whatsoever is beyond me.  The refs decided this game and that is never how a football game should turn out.

I'm proud of how the Hokies played today.  Justin Myer was essentially automatic (I forgive him for the miss, he probably prepped himself for the extra point instead).  Our defense was on and excited, and there is nothing that makes me happier than seeing our guys WANT to win.  Thomas was focused, DW4 was running for draft status (which is a good thing), Coale was UH MAY ZING.  All the pieces were there for us to win this game.  Except the referees.  Either way, the Hokies represented why they should be in the Sugar Bowl and here's to silencing the critics.  I'm going to miss DW4, and definitely Coale, but I'm exicted for Logan Thomas and our offense next year.  The defense is a given, I'm always excited about that.

All in all, it was an exciting game, but a disappointing one all the same.  Thanks for an exciting, yet frustrating at times, season this past year.  And good luck to our departing players.  Sorry you didn't get to end the season with a Sugar Bowl win.  You were robbed.
