Found August 11, 2013 on Fox Sports Ohio:
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Sophomore defensive back Najee Murray has been suspended from Ohio State's football team. Multiple reports about Murray being dismissed surfaced over the weekend, but head coach Urban Meyer said Sunday at the team's annual preseason media day that Murray is "suspended...for a training camp issue." Murray played in six games on special teams as a freshman last season before a knee injury ended his season. He came to camp competing for playing time in a crowded secondary. Ohio State has the benefit of veteran leadership in the secondary and talent coming from two straight stellar recruiting classes. Meyer also announced that freshman defensive tackle Donovan Munger has received NCAA clearance and will join the team this week but has a blood clot issue and will not play in 2013.

Instant Impact – Jalin Marshall

As you undoubtedly know by now, the Ohio State Buckeyes and head coach Urban Meyer brought in one of the top recruiting classes in 2013. The freshmen in this class are extremely talented and some will see immediate action for the 2013 Buckeyes. Others will learn behind veterans and add depth to their designated position group. We start our Instant Impact series with incoming freshman...

Murray Dismissed From Team

A source confirmed with Buckeye Sports Bulletin that sophomore defensive back Najee Murray has been dismissed from the Ohio State football team. Get the full story inside.

Instant Impact: Billy Price

As I anxiously await the start of college football season, I can’t help but think of who will emerge as the next Ohio State star. Last year we wondered who could ever replace Johnny Simon. His leadership, raw strength, and athleticism will be extremely difficult to match. Simon had a motor unlike anything Buckeyes’ fans had seen since Chris Spielman. On February 6, 2013 Urban...

Instant Impact: Donovan Munger

As we continue to look at the incoming freshman in our Instant Impact series, Donovan Munger will not have the opportunity to be ‘instant’ or have an impact in 2013.  The Shaker Heights, Ohio freshman was unable to start camp with the team because his transcripts had not yet cleared the NCAA clearinghouse. Coach Urban Meyer in his press conference today indicated that Munger...

Wilson’s Impact Felt Early

Since speedster Dontre Wilson of DeSoto, Texas committed to Ohio State, the Buckeyes coaching staff has had visions of what his playmaking ability to mean for the team's offense. Through eight practices in his first fall camp at Ohio State, Wilson is proving that impact could be felt early in freshman year.

Ohio State makes minor changes to Buckeye football uniforms

Ohio State will take the field for the first time this year August 31st against Buffalo, wearing the traditional Buckeye uniforms, but with a few minor tweaks. The panel stripe on the pants was adjusted by making the the black stripe on the outsides thin like the pattern on the helmet and sleeve stripes. For whatever reason the black stripes on the pants were thick and the white...

Report: Charlie Strong Challenges Urban Meyer

Louisville Cardinals head football coach Charlie Strong has challenged Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer to play his Cardinals, according to a report by WDRB’s Rick Bozich.  Strong and Meyer are very good friends since the Florida days when they teamed up to win two national championships.  Bozich reports that Charlie Strong told him this, “”We talk a lot,” Strong...

Buckeyes wide-outs no longer area of concern

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- A year ago they shared space in coach Urban Meyer's doghouse. Now Ohio State's wide receivers are team leaders. Inexperienced and unproven in 2012, they're veterans this time around. It's a question of maturity, assistant coach Zach Smith said of the improvement in his charges. "Just a year ago I told everyone that it was a young group...

Buckeyes Behind Baugh After Mistake

One of the offseason potholes for the Ohio State football team was the July arrest of freshman tight end Marcus Baugh, who was subsequently given a one-game suspension for the coaching staff. The California native has a good support system in place, though, in the OSU tight ends room.
