Watch: Alabama TE coach Bryan Ellis mic’d up with energy during spring practice

The new coaches under Kalen DeBoer for Alabama football are winning players over with energy, but we will see if it leads to excellence on the field.

Bryan Ellis, the Crimson Tide’s tight ends coach, was mic’d up during spring practice.

The 35-year-old served as an offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Georgia Southern for two years (2022-23) before coming to Alabama. Ellis has coached running backs, receivers, quarterbacks, and coordinated offenses in his young coaching tenure. He was an offensive coordinator at Western Kentucky from 2019 to 2021. Ellis also played quarterback at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2007 to 2011. He has an eye for detail and wants the players to be exceptional in execution.

Ellis wants urgency from this year’s team and no wasted opportunities. He knows Alabama is a national championship program; however, he sees the Tide is in a three-year championship drought. Ellis looks to help put an end to that in the fall.
