After each week during the college football season I usually put together an “All-Video Game Numbers Team”. It’s a fantasy formatted team (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DST) compiled of FBS players that just put up ridiculous stats that week, whether they’re playing Alabama or Eastern Alabama A&M. Here’s the best of Week Five. QB Cody Fajardo (Junior, Nevada) Fajardo made a statement in his return, passing for 389 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 81 yards and two more touchdowns against Air Force. Fajardo was forced out of the game in the first half but came back in the second to lead the Wolf Pack to a comeback 45-42 win. Honorable mention QB Sean Mannion (Oregon State)- Mannion torched Colorado, throwing for 414 yards and six touchdowns. He leads the country with 2,018 yards and 21 touchdowns. RB Antonio Andrews (Senior, Western Kentucky) Andrews followed his five-touchdown performance with 182 yards and two touchdowns against Navy. Andrew now leads the nation with 727 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. RB Tim Cornett (Senior, UNLV) Cornett owned New Mexico rushing for 179 yards and three touchdowns. In his past three games he’s totaled six rushing touchdowns. Honorable mention RB Donnell Pumphrey (San Diego State)- Pumphrey might have stolen the running game from Adam Muema after taking 19 carries for 167 yards and three touchdowns against New Mexico State. WR Delante Davis (Junior, UNLV) Davis took advantage of New Mexico’s secondary, catching 10 balls for164 yards and three touchdowns. This was Davis’s second three-touchdown performance this season. WR Jared Abbrederis (Senior, Wisconsin) Joel Stave went to Jared’s quite a few times against Ohio State. Abbrederis led all receivers this week with 207 receiving yards and added a touchdown. Scouts had to notice that this huge performance came against CB Bradley Roby. WR Brandin Cooks (Junior, Oregon State) Cooks had another monster game, burning Colorado’s secondary for 168 yards and two touchdowns. He leads all receivers in yards (807) and touchdowns (9). Honorable mention WR Rashard Higgins (Colorado State)- The freshman recorded 156 yards and two touchdowns against UTEP. TE Matt Lacosse (Junior, Illinois) The 6-6 TE had a career game against Miami (OH) with three catches for 68 yards and two touchdowns, the first two of his career. Honorable mention TE Hunter Henry (Arkansas)- HH had four receptions for 109 yards against Texas A&M. K Nick Diaz (Junior, Utah State) Diaz knocked in all four of his field goal attempts and added four extra points against San Jose State. Honorable mention K Austin Rehkow (Idaho)- The freshman nailed four of five field goals to help give Idaho a 26-24 win. DST TCU TCU took care of Southern Methodist with four picks, seven sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and two defensive touchdowns. SMU only managed 16 rushing yards. Honorable mention DST Buffalo- The Bulls upset UCONN with the help of three picks, five sacks, one fumble recovery, and one defensive touchdown. They held the Huskies to 12 points and only gave up 220 yards (27 rushing, 193 passing). -Schotz
