After each week during the college football season I usually put together an “All-Video Game Numbers Team”. It’s a fantasy formatted team (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DST) compiled of FBS players that just put up ridiculous stats that week, whether they’re playing Alabama or Eastern Alabama A&M. Here’s the best of Week Three. QB Johnny Manziel (Sophomore, Texas A&M) Despite a home loss in a shootout to Alabama, Manziel still managed to be “Johnny Football.” The sophomore threw for 464 yards and five touchdowns while adding 98 yards on the ground. Granted this was a great play, but I do this at least once every time I play in a NCAA or Madden. Click here to view the video on YouTube. Honorable mention QB Marcus Mariota (Oregon)- Mariota torched the Tennessee secondary for 456 passing yards and five total touchdowns. RB Jay Ajayi (Sophomore, Boise State) Ajayi did a lot of damage with his 17 carries against Air Force collecting 125 yards and four touchdowns. He now has six touchdowns in two games and looks like the best back in the Mountain West with New Mexico’s Kasey Carrier. RB Paul James (Junior, Rutgers) His name might be generic but his stats aren’t.  Last week against Eastern Michigan James took 21 carries for 192 yards and three touchdowns. This was his second straight game rushing for three touchdowns and he currently leads the nation with 893 rushing yards. Honorable mention RB Bishop Sankey (Washington)- Sankey helped lead the Huskies over Illinois with 271 total yards (208 rushing, 63 receiving) and two total touchdowns. WR Mike Evans (Sophomore, Texas A&M) Evans was responsible for over half of Manziel’s 464 passing yards with 279 receiving yards and a touchdown off of just seven catches. Evans averaged 39.9 yards on the day and now leads the nation in receiving yards with 518. WR Brandin Cooks (Junior, Oregon State) Cooks lit up the Utes with 210 receiving yards and three touchdowns in the 51-48 OT win. He currently leads the country in receiving touchdowns with seven, and is just behind Evans in receiving yards with 498. WR Quenton Bundrage (Sophomore, Iowa State) Bundrage was responsible for all 21 points against Iowa as he caught seven balls for 146 yards and three touchdowns. He now leads the team in every receiving category and it’ll be interesting to see if he can develop into their number one threat. Honorable mention WR Devante Davis (UNLV)- Davis accounted for 140 yards and three touchdowns in UNLV’s win over Central Michigan. He’s now caught at least one touchdown in every game. TE Johnny Mundt (Freshman, Oregon) With Colt Lyerla out against the Vols, the freshman capitalized with five catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Looks like Oregon will be okay at the tight end spot for years to come. Honorable mention TE Gator Hoskins (Marshall)- Hoskins made the best of his four catches with 81 yards and a touchdown in a tough loss to Ohio. K Michael Hunnicutt (Oklahoma) Hunnicutt hit all three of his field goals against Tulsa, and totaled 15 points after adding six extra points. Honorable mention K Zach Paul (North Texas)- Paul was a perfect 4/4 with a long of 48, and added two extra points in a great win over Ball State. DST Florida Atlantic FAU took care of South Florida with three sacks, one pick, two fumble recoveries, and two defensive touchdowns in their 28-10 victory. Honorable mention DST Virginia Tech- Va Tech totaled seven sacks and three interceptions while holding East Carolina to 204 total yards and 10 points. -Schotz
