h/t to @DanWeiner for the photo Former Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino has made his way back into college football. Petrino will be introduced at 4 PM central time as the next head coach at the University of Western Kentucky. The news broke earlier this morning that Petrino was on the Bowling Green campus, but WKU officials were declining to confirm the reports. Just two hours later, Chad Bishop, the WKU beat writer for the Bowling Green Daily News had confirmed that Petrino would be the next coach for the Hilltoppers. Petrino has a 74-26 career record as a head coach. He was 41-9 in four seasons at Louisville and 34-17 during his four year stint at Arkansas. Don’t be surprised if John L. Smith joins Petrino at WKU. Western Kentucky will play the first bowl game in the school’s history on Dec. 26 against Central Michigan in the Little Caesar’s Pizza Bowl. The Hilltoppers will be coached by interim coach and Taggart defensive coordinator Lance Guidry. WKU opens their 2013 season ...
