FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Arkansas coach John L. Smith says quarterback Tyler Wilson didn't practice Thursday and his status remains uncertain Saturday's game with No. 1 Alabama.
Wilson, who missed the second half of the Razorbacks' loss to Louisiana-Monroe last week with a head injury, went through a light practice Wednesday, but Smith says the quarterback was "busy" doing some kind of "evaluating" during practice on Thursday.
Smith says he expects to find out Friday if Wilson, the first-team All-Southeastern Conference quarterback last season, will be able to play against the Crimson Tide (2-0).
Redshirt freshman Brandon Allen or junior Brandon Mitchell could start for the Razorbacks (1-1) if Wilson is unable to play.
BEST OF MAXIM
The easiest crisis to pinpoint is the quarterback.
If Tyler Wilson is less-than-full-speed on Saturday, Arkansas will almost certainly struggle, especially given how dominant Nick Sabans Alabama defense has looked in their first two games.
Even playing at home in Fayetteville, and even with running back Knile Davis healthy and stronger than ever, the Hogs are a passing team....
Arkansas faces uncertainty at quarterback this week as it prepares to host No. 1 Alabama on Saturday.
The Razorbacks (1-1) lost starting quarterback Tyler Wilson with a head injury in last week's stunning loss to Louisiana-Monroe. Coach John L. Smith said the first-team All-Southeastern Conference quarterback still had ''grogginess'' two days later and hasn&...
Arkansas definitely looked like they had a shot to contend in the SEC East this season, and one of the main reasons was their start quarterback, Tyler Wilson. But last week the Razorbacks lost Wilson to an injury, and according to sources he wont play in this weekend’s game. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the #1 ranked Crimson Tide are in town.
The Razorbacks already slipped...
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Brandon Mitchell's move from backup quarterback to wide receiver was great while it lasted at Arkansas.
Times have changed for the worst and where he ends up at this point is anybody's guess following the head injury suffered by starting quarterback Tyler Wilson.
After their shocking and possibly season-derailing loss in overtime to Louisiana...
Arkansas has lost its last five games against Alabama, and it enters Saturday with the prospect of facing the No. 1 Crimson Tide without starting quarterback Tyler Wilson.
Wilson's availability for the Razorbacks (1-1) is uncertain after he suffered a head injury during the first half of last week's shocking loss to Louisiana-Monroe. Wilson didn't practice Thursday,...
The Alabama vs Arkansas predictions will most likely favor the Alabama Crimson Tide, but there is reason to believe the Razorbacks can make a statement.
The Arkansas Razorbacks are off arguably the worst loss in the school’s history. They will be playing without their best player as quarterback Tyler Wilson will be out for the game. No one is giving the Razorbacks a shot at beating...
The Tide continue to roll regardless of their opponent and it shouldn’t change much in this matchup.
The status of All-American quarterback Tyler Wilson is vital for any chance of an upset to be made. Wilson is one of the best in the game, and the offense missed him quite a bit when he left a bit woozy in the first half against Louisiana-Monroe.
Freshman Brandon Allen has talent...
There was a time not so long ago where a case could be made that Alabama at Arkansas was the biggest game in the SEC in 2012.Then Bobby Petrino crashed his motorcycle and things changed for Arkansas. While his replacement John L. Smith has had his share of success, he's not Petrino. Especially without quarterback Tyler Wilson. The Razorback lost perhaps the best quarterback...

GET IT DONE
In order to make their victory even more historic, Louisiana-Monroe has released a commemorative t-shirt. This is more or less, salt in the wound for Arkansas Razorbacks fans. After the thrilling OT loss, Arkansas fell from #8 in the AP Poll rankings to being completely out of the poll. This feat has only been topped by Michigan falling from #5 to unranked after they lost to Appalachian...
So if you haven’t heard, the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks upset the number eight ranked Arkansas Razorbacks last Saturday and now they don’t want you to forget it.
For Arkansas the loss hurts in more ways than just a L on their record. The Hogs dropped completely out of the Associated Press top 25. Not only that, but the Warhawks beat up Tyler Wilson pretty badly enough to knock...
Before you start wondering why a team like Arkansas is spongeworthy enough to get this type of shirt, take a moment to look at the situation. The city of Monroe, Louisiana is around 40 miles from the Arkansas border. The college has never had a winning season since the 80′s. They have never been to [...]
