West Virginia redshirt freshman linebacker Trey Lathan was carted off the field Saturday night in the fourth quarter of the Mountaineers' win over TCU with a leg injury.
As head coach Neal Brown told reporters last night, Lathan stayed overnight in Fort Worth while the team traveled back home in order to undergo surgery. Sunday evening, WVU announced that Lathan had a successful surgery and "will continue to recover and be monitored at the hospital in Fort Worth."
A timetable for his return to Morgantown has not been announced.
