QB Injuries Forced the O'Brien Move
If Wisconsin and head coach Bret Bielema had a cabinet full of healthy quarterbacks, the Badgers wouldn't been players again on the 'free agency' market. But with injuries to Jon Budmayr, Bart Houston and Curt Phillips and with the good fit O'Brien was with his players, it was a smart move for Bielema and UW to make.

Notes: Down to Two
With Russell Wilson heading to the NFL, redshirt senior quarterback Curt Phillips coming off another ACL rehabilitation and incoming freshman Bart Houston needing minor surgery, UW couldn't afford any more issues at the quarterback position. On Wednesday, Bielema revealed that the Badgers are helping Jon Budmayr deal with another elbow issue.
