After standout campaigns in the 2011 season, Miami's Denzel Perryman and Anthony Chickillo have been named to the Yahoo! Sports Freshman All-America Team. Perryman earned first-team honors, while Chickillo was named to the second team.

Perryman named freshman All-American
Hurricanes linebacker Denzel Perryman was among 26 players named to CBSSports.com's Freshman All-American team Wednesday night.
Perryman finished the season ranked first among Atlantic Coast Conference freshmen with 69 tackles. He finished his first year with UM ranked second on the team in tackles and tied for third on the team in tackles for loss (6.5).

Perryman eager to fill in for Buchanan, help Canes plug leaky run defense
CORAL GABLES -- The Miami Hurricanes lost one of their veteran leaders at linebacker when Ramon Buchanan went down with a season-ending right knee injury Saturday.
At the end of this season, they'll lose another when Sean Spence graduates and heads off to the NFL. The future? Denzel Perryman plans to be a big part of that.
