Penn State’s football team did end up getting some good news today. Gerald Hodges and Jordan Hill have been named to the preseason watch lists for the Nagurski and Outland awards respectively…that is of course IF Penn State has a football team next year. Assuming they do, you have to think after the seasons these guys put together last year, they’re going to be just as good...
Junior linebacker Gerald Hodges has been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week a second straight time.
Hodges racked up 19 tackles, including a sack, and forced a fumble in Saturday's snow- and slug-fest with Illinois, a 10-7 Penn State victory. He also broke up two passes.
Hodges also won the award last week, following Penn State's 34-24 victory over Northwestern.
