Notre Dame has lost four scholarship players since National Signing Day 2013. The transfers of Gunner Kiel, Davonte' Neal, and Justin Ferguson, coupled with the medical scholarship granted to Tate Nichols, benefits at least two handfuls of competitors in terms of both spring opportunities and potential playing time next fall.
Davonte' Neal and Justin Ferguson, Notre Dame's No. 1 and No. 3-rated recruits in 2012, have both made their decisions to transfer away from South Bend.
