Football. Hunnicutt Named Freshman All-American

Oklahoma kicker Michael Hunnicutt was named to the Football Writers Association of America's Freshman All-America team the organization announced on Monday. The Richardson, Texas, native received the honor after tying an Oklahoma record with 21 field goals in 2011 despite not taking over as the Sooners' starting kicker until the third game of the season.

OU Weathers Cyclones on Senior Day 26-6

Oklahoma scored 20 points in the second quarter, and that was all it needed as the Sooners topped Iowa State, 26-6, on a cold, blustery day in Norman. Blake Bell scored two touchdowns and Michael Hunnicutt connected on all four of his field goal attempts to account for the scoring. The win sets up a Bedlam showdown for the Big 12 championship next weekend in Stillwater.
