Kansas City Rockhurst continues to produce Division I football players in abundance. Fighting Illini quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase is among their distinguished graduates. The Illini are recruiting 2013 lineman Zach Hannon from that school, and he talks with Scheelhaase frequently.

Scheelhaase Adapting To Multiple Changes
The Fighting Illini football team has no set starters as it begins the Tim Beckman era. Regardless of past success on the field, every position is up for grabs until the first game of the fall. But it hasn't taken the new staff long to notice the natural leadership and other gifts possessed by quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase.

Illinois’ football season collapsing.
Champaign, Illinois- Illinois’ loses yet again in their downward spiral in Big Ten play. This time, their loss came at the hands of #24 Michigan Wolverines. The Illinois defense kept them in the game, but the lack of rhythm and consistency on offense gave the Illini a loss with a score of 14-31.

Michigan Wolverines Shut Down Illini; Win Low-Scoring Big 10 Affair
67-65 in multiple overtimes this was not. This meeting between the Illini and Wolverines was much less “college basketball on AstroPlay” than last year. Michigan still won; this time with a different style.

This week, we’re fighting for this sweet vintage sweater and an indian headdress. Wear them both together...

Michigan spent the past week talking about last Saturday's upset loss at Iowa, a bad surprise they vowed not to let hurt them this week at Illinois.
But for the Illini (6-3, 2-3 Big Ten) the loss that dominated talk this week in Champaign happened a year ago, a 67-65 triple-overtime heart-breaker in Ann Arbor that the Illini can't quite let go of.
