Injuries to UCLA’s Perkins and Savaiinaea ‘not good’

UCLA may have stomped Cal on Thursday night, but they suffered some key losses in their win. The Bruins lost leading rusher Paul Perkins to a knee injury. Then later in the second half leading tackler Savaiinaea had to be carted off with what appeared to be an injury to his leg. While the severity of the injuries is still unknown, head coach Jim Mora while addressing the media after...

UCLA RB Paul Perkins Shows Of Some Crazy Video Game Moves Against Stanford

Things did not go well for UCLA Thursday night overall. I say overall because even though they were thrashed by Stanford there was a lot of good play. Quarterback Josh Rosen made his share of mistakes, but also made a number of tremendous plays--and he's only a freshman. As much as might want him, it would not be surprising if junior running back Paul Perkins goes pro. With moves...

Sun Devils look to get back on track with upset of UCLA

PASADENA, Calif. -- UCLA tailback Paul Perkins is a Phoenix-area native whose father and younger brother have both suited up for Arizona State. So it's no surprise that this annual Pac-12 South matchup clearly means something special to Perkins, who averaged just under 9 yards per carry in his first two games against the Sun Devils. The defending Pac-12 rushing champion gets his...

UCLA fans know about Paul Perkins. They know he was the Pac-12's leading rusher last year. UCLA fans also know and would argue that the punishing running back was highly underrated last year and wasn't a household name.Perkins is on a mission to change that, but he also offers up a golden nugget to Bleacher Report's Adam Kramer, who had an extensive interview with Perkins."When...

Perkins' 'hot' for UCLA run game

The running game. It hasn't been dismal, yet it hasn't been a strength. Myles Jack is great but he's a phenomenal linebacker. Brett Hundley is fast and smart, but he's the quarterback. Two years ago, Hundley and Johnathan Franklin were a formidable combination together. But last year, it was all on the legs of Hundley with Jack playing a supporting role later in the season. And Jack...
