Rice Owls football coach David Bailiff announced that his football program this Fall will be without starting Defensive Tackle Stuart Mouchantaf.  Mouchantaf suffered a setback in his recovery from knee surgery and will now work towards returning for the 2015 season. Owls lose Mouchantaf for season

Rice senior defensive tackle Stuart Mouchantaf, a Conference USA preseason all-conference selection, will miss the 2014 season after suffering a setback in his recovery from a knee injury, coach David Bailiff said Thursday. Mouchantaf, who played in eight games last season before suffering the injury, was reinjured during recent rehab and required additional surgery.
