Huggins: 'I've had better days'
One quote from Bob Huggins said all that needed to be said Thursday: “I’ve had better days, but I think I’ll be alright.” His team’s NCAA Tournament hopes? That depends on how the Mountaineers respond during the final weeks of the regular season.

(Editor's note: I recently wrote this for Crystal Ball Run, but felt some of our loyal readers may have missed it. So here it is)
I'm still not accustomed to talking about West Virginia and the Big 12 at the same time.
I still look up news on the Big East and its conference members.
One of these days I'll figure it out that I need to start learning more about the Mountaineers...

Mountain Ridge’s Jarrod Harper, who inked his letter-of-intent to join the Mountaineers on Wednesday afternoon, said that WVU head coach Dana Holgorsen told him during the recruiting process that the Backyard Brawl would continue.

WVU's 3-game slide is longest under Huggins
West Virginia's freshman-dominated roster is showing its age.
For the first time at his alma mater, Bob Huggins has lost three straight games. A combination of mishandled passes, poor shot selections and a lack of hustle and ball movement has led to the losing streak.
The Mountaineers (15-8, 5-5 Big East) are headed south in the conference standings but have a six-day stretch...

VIDEO: WVU gets robbed at Syracuse
West Virginia lost to Syracuse 63-61 on Saturday, in the midst of fireworks over a blatant blown call.
With the Mountaineers trailing, Truck Bryant missed a three-point shot that would've given West Virginia the lead. Deniz Kilicli, however, rebounded the miss and went up for what would have been a game-tying shot. However, his attempt was pinned against the backboard by Syracuse...

THROUGH THE JUICER
Orange Bowl mascot taken out
After a second quarter 99-yard fumble return for a touchdown, West Virginia safety Darwin Cook got a little thirsty. He decided that the six points weren't enough and needed a taste of Obie, the Orange Bowl mascot.
Obie got the worst of it as you can see him tossing his lunch in the trash can. And check out John Gruden playing the comedian with the fresh squeezed...
