Army baseball headed to Virginia for NCAA
The Black Knights of Army learned today that they would face No. 1 seed Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia on Friday. Army, which finished its regular season with the most wins in program history (41-13), was assigned a No. 4 seed by the selection committee.

The Army Black Knights are champions yet again. Army pounced on Holy Cross on Tuesday to turn 4-4 tie into a 8-4 Army win. It was Army's sixth Patriot League Championship since joining the league in the early 90s.

Army linebacker Andrew Rodriguez won the James E. Sullivan Award given by the Amateur Athletic Union to the nation’s top amateur athlete. Rodriguez was presented with the award Tuesday night during a ceremony at the New York Athletic Club.

Julian Simmons scored 24 points and Ella Ellis had 23 to lead Army past St. Francis (N.Y.) 79-70 on Saturday.
Ellis shot 50 percent (8 of 16) from the field and grabbed nine rebounds while Simmons knocked down 56.3 percent (9 of 16) of his shots. Simmons and Ellis combined to make seven 3-pointers.

Navy coach talks after 27-21 win over Army
