Last weekend the Army dealt a death blow to rival Navy's NCAA hopes. This weekend, for the second season in a row, the Black Knights sent Holy Cross packing to earn a trip to baseball's Big Dance.
Army swept two games from rival Navy in Annapolis (4-2, 7-3) to advance in the Patriot League Baseball Tournament. The Black Knights' next test will be a visit to Holy Cross next weekend to determine the league's champion and NCAA participant.
ArmySports.com spoke to Zach Saum about his latest offer from the Black Knights staff. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound wide receiver/tight end out of Hoosier State powerhouse Indianapolis Cathedral High School was visited by Army's receivers and slotbacks coach, Tucker Waugh, who extended the offer in person.
A recent Army offer has the attention of Malik Crossdale, a 5-foot-11, 196-pound running back from Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx, N.Y. After receiving the offer, Crossdale made an unofficial visit to West Point soon afterward. He spoke with ArmySports.com on his why he's so intrigued with the Black Knights program.
