BALTIMORE, Md. (May 8, 2015)-Morgan State sophomore Shenel Crooke and freshman Jaliah Mason made the short trip to Coppin State University to represent the Morgan State women's track and field team in the Don Webster Invitational on Fridday. It would be the final regular season meet for the Lady Bears.
The Morgan State softball team will close out the regular season this weekend on the road against crosstown rival Coppin State. The series gets underway with a doubleheader on Saturday, May 2 beginning at 1 p.m. and a single game on Sunday at noon. If the Lady Bears win all three games, they will advance to the upcoming Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament (May 7-9) in Ormond Beach, Fla.
Per Chris Peak of Panther Lair, Coppin State guard Sterling Smith is transferring to Pitt to finish out his collegiate career.
