Coach Paul Petrino announced Sunday that senior receiver Dezmon Epps has been dismissed from the Vandals for violating team rules. Epps was arrested on a DUI charge in April and was sentenced to one day in jail and two years' probation after pleading guilty in June.
Nearly seven months after getting his head-coaching knees lopped off, Charley Molnar has landed on his assistant-coaching feet.
The Idaho Vandals announced via a press release Wednesday that Molnar has been hired as the wide receivers coach for first-year head coach Paul Petrino. It will mark Molnar’s first stint as a receivers coach since his time at Cincinnati from 2007-09.
The Idaho Vandals will not be eligible to participate in college football’s postseason in 2014 due to a failure to meet the APR standards established by the NCAA.
