In year one of his tenure, Nevada Wolf Pack coach Brian Polian made a
point to get the Northern Nevada community behind the football program.
Now in his second year, Polian is continuing that trend with two open
to the public practices at local high schools.
Coach Brian Polian didn’t become a legend in Reno by winning only four games in his first season as head coach, however the Nevada Wolf Pack are primed and ready to go in 2014 with the return of twenty starters. The Wolf Pack offense can put points on the board. Senior quarterback Cody Fajardo led an attack that averaged 26.9 points per game in 2013, and completed an astounding...

The Nevada Wolf Pack men's basketball team battled back from a brutal
out of conference schedule to finish 3rd in the Mountain West
Conference. They were rewarded with the 3 seed and a first round bye in
the conference tournament but went out with a whimper in a 75-62 loss
to 6th seeded Boise St. Reporters Leo Beas and Eric Uribe sat
down after the game to give us their thoughts.
In the second round of the Mountain West Conference Tournament the
Nevada Wolf Pack will play their first game against the Boise State
Broncos who beat the San Jose State Spartans in the first round.
Meet Deonte Burton. Burton, originally from Los Angeles, is a 6-1 senior point guard for the Nevada Wolf Pack and is currently one of the better under-the-radar NBA prospects in college basketball. Chances are unless you’re a die-hard college hoops fan, you’ve never heard much of him.
Since Burton is relatively unknown, he took full advantage of an opportunity to...
Jalen James hit a jumper with a second remaining to give San Jose State a 66-64 win over Nevada, snapping a 13-game losing streak and giving the Spartans their first win in the Mountain West Conference.
Nevada's Deote Burton hit a pair of free throws to tie the game at 64 with 10 seconds to go before AJ West blocked a jumper by James with 3 seconds left. James, however, corralled...

When you think of flashy college football helmets, those worn by Nevada probably don’t come to mind right away. But after today they just might — check out the new ‘Battle Born’ chrome helmets that were unveiled vs. UNLV:

The Nevada Wolf Pack unveiled chrome "Battle Born" football helmets for the UNLV game to honor the state of Nevada.
The Nevada Wolfpack unveiled their new helmets for next year about two weeks ago and now they have released their jerseys for next season. These jerseys are very solid and the font they have for the numbers is perfect. I must say I’m quite surprised that so many teams have re-done their uniforms so well this offseason, normally there are far more terrible uniform creations...
Winter is coming … to Reno.
The Nevada Wolf Pack have released a new white helmet with a silver wolf logo, according to Reno Gazette-Journal reporter Chris Murray. The new helmet looks similar to the colors and sigil of House Stark from the popular HBO drama Game of Thrones.
In the Game of Thrones universe, House Stark is the traditional guardian of the North, a vast region...
The Nevada Wolfpack unveiled their three new helmets back in January, but it was announced at the Mountain West Conference Media Days (they have those?) that the white helmet would be their new primary helmet. Personally, I love all three of their helmets, but I think that the blue should have stayed as the primary. The silver and white helmets are great alternates, but the classic...
With just five weeks until the start of the college football season, schools are starting to unveil what their student athletes will be wearing on the gridiron this fall. Nevada is the latest to do so, unveiling the helmet the Wolf Pack will be donning in 2013.

Chris Ault, head football coach of the Nevada Wolfpack, is retiring after 28 seasons as the team’s head coach. Not only will he go down as one of the greats to ever roam the sidelines of college football, but he is also credited as being the inventor of the Pistol Offense.
Ault is stepping down after nearly three decades leading the Wolfpack, accumulating a record of 233-109-1...

Nevada (7-5) vs Southern Miss (11-2) I'm not sure exactly what to expect from this game, except that Larry Fedora believes that Southern Miss should be playing in a BCS game (obviously). Fedora made the statement when a reporter asked him one of the dumbest questions I've heard asked of a head coach after knocking off one of the top dogs, Houston. It went something like this...
