Season 47 of Saturday Night Live will premiere, well, Saturday (Oct. 2) with Owen Wilson as host and Kacey Musgraves as musical guest.
Beck Bennett, who had been an eight-year cast regular, won't be there:
The Hollywood Reporter relayed that featured player Lauren Holt is also out.
"The remainder of last season’s cast—regulars Aidy Bryant, Michael Che, Pete Davidson, Mikey Day, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Colin Jost, Kate McKinnon, Alex Moffat, Kyle Mooney, Ego Nwodim, Chris Redd, Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson, Melissa Villaseñor and Bowen Yang and featured players Andrew Dismukes and Punkie Johnson—are all set to return," THR continued. "Fineman and Yang have been upped to repertory players."
SNL welcomed three new cast members, too:

There had been speculation that heavyweights such as Bryant, Davidson, McKinnon and Strong were saying veiled farewells during May's Season 46 finale, with a teary-eyed cold open and emotional "Weekend Update" appearances for Davidson and Strong.
Davidson quipped that he was "ready to hang up the jersey" within a THR actors roundtable in late May, while Strong asserted she felt good "either way" in late June.
