Let’s All Hope Matthew McConaughey Isn’t A Pedofile On The Run In ‘Mud’

Looks like Matthew McConaughey is trading in his Magic Mike stripper cuffs and baby oil for a life on the run in his new dramatic thriller Mud.  The film, directed by Jeff Nichols, has become a hit at film festivals and some are already proclaiming that McConaughey delivers the best performance of his career. The synopsis, via: A coming-of-age drama centered around two fourteen-year-old boys who encounter a mysterious fugitive hiding out on an island in the Mississippi. Intrigued by this man, they enter into a pact to help him evade capture and reconnect with the love of his life. Though it is hard for the boys to discern truth from fiction when it comes to Mud, it isn’t long until their small Arkansas town is besieged by a beautiful girl with a line of hunters in tow. In all honesty, the theatrical trailer (featured at the top of this post) looks pretty damn good and leaves me feeling like I miiiiight have to check this out.
