Predicting the 2020 American Music Awards winners

Since the 2020 pandemic continues to put restrictions on everyday life, award show season has been quite the creative challenge for show producers, performers, and hosts. While the typical red carpet pre-show interviews are non-existent, artists are either performing remotely or at the show arena without an audience. Although the ambiance of award shows is currently different, fans are still in for a treat with a must-see show.

The 2020 American Music Awards is set to air on Nov. 22 hosted by Taraji P. Henson. While The Weeknd and Roddy Ricch both lead with eight AMA nominations, slated performers include Megan Thee Stallion, Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and more.

In typical American Music Awards form, fans cast votes for their favorite artists. Before the show airs this weekend, check out our predictions for this year's winners.

On top of the insane album sales, Swift is known for using her platform to weigh in on political matters, which was important during a presidential election year. Not only does Swift hold the record for most nominated in this category, she has also won the coveted award five times.
