'Broke Boyfriend!' Jimmy Kimmel Jokingly Hates on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

With Travis Kelce now being the highest-paid tight end in the NFL, some respect should be due.

But late-night host Jimmy Kimmel still jokingly believes that the Kansas City Chiefs superstar is still the "Broke Boyfriend."

Kimmel, during his ABC late-night show earlier this week; mentioned Kelce's new two-year $34.5 million contract, going ham on the star TE for having significantly less financial income than his "better half,'' pop star Taylor Swift.

"New contract is worth $34 million, or as Taylor Swift calls it, gum money, Can you imagine being in a relationship where you make 34M and you’re still the broke boyfriend?" Stated Kimmel harshly - but humorously.

Even though he gets $17 million guaranteed this season, most would feel blessed to have their partner having this much success. ... and yes, Taylor and Travis seem to be enjoying the good life.

"Back at it again baby!'' Kelce said in celebration of the new deal. "Had to see a little Super Bowl right there man! Feels good to be in KC. I remember coming here 12 years ago man. It's an honor and a pleasure and I can't wait to get after it these next two years.

"But no better [time] than right now, getting fired up for this year. Just got out on the field with the boys, we're back at it baby! Chiefs forever!"

Sensitive Chiefs fans may think Kimmel might do himself some good by keeping his intrusive thoughts to himself. ... but it's all in good fun. And Swift and Kelce surely have no complaints about life in general.
