Front Row Motorsports, Michael McDowell reveal White Sox paint scheme for Chicago Street Race

While I liked last year’s design, this edition of the White Sox car is even better. Black and white race cars can be plain and boring – or they can be mean and beautiful like this one.

The 34 car has rarely looked so good. While we won’t see this car on the track for more than a month, it’s nice to see it now and get the anticipation building. Michael McDowell is a great road course racer, maybe he can pull off a great finish at Chicago.

A year ago, McDowell finished P7 at Chicago in the inaugural race.

Michael McDowell hoping to leave on a high note

The nature of NASCAR is strange. When an athlete decides to go to another team in the NBA or NFL, it’s different. The player waits until the free agency period opens, it’s in the offseason, and they make a decision then.

Imagine if LeBron James left Cleveland for Miami but he announced his decision during the 20th game of the season and then kept playing with the Cavs.

Free agency in motorsports moves as quickly as the cars on the track. Drivers are bought and sold, more or less, throughout the season, in the offseason – it doesn’t matter. If a deal is to be made, it will not wait.

So, Michael McDowell has to make the most of his lame-duck season. I think with how much work he has put into Front Row, that organization is going to work for him until Phoenix is over. It will be a lot of fun seeing what they can do together before they part ways.
