The latest on the rumor mill is that three-time All-Star Donovan Mitchell can be had for the right price. After a few competitive years in the West, it looks like Danny Ainge and Co. are set to begin a rebuild for this Jazz franchise. It's the New York Knicks that appear to be the early front-runner to land Mitchell, or at least try. New York has the draft capital and the young players to propose an enticing trade for Utah. Evgeni Malkin re-signs with Penguins — After a brief stretch where it seemed Malkin was set to play for a new team, he's returned to the only place he's called home in the NHL: Pittsburgh. The 35-year old center agreed to a four-year deal with the Penguins on Tuesday, bringing back a crucial piece of this Pittsburgh roster. After winning back-to-back titles in 2016 and 2017, the Penguins still believe themselves to be Stanley Cup contenders. They recently re-signed Rickard Rakell as well and should remain one of the East's top teams this season. Pittsburgh is currently +2000 to win the 2023 Stanley Cup.
