There are certain things you can debate in golf -- like which driver or ball is the best. But if there's one thing in this beautiful game that can't be disputed, it's that Jack Nicklaus is the greatest golfer of all time.
Nicklaus, who turned 72 on Saturday, has the most decorated golf resume in the history of the game, winning 18 major championships in his storied career. He also finished in second-place 19 times -- a staggering figure that makes you realize how often he was in contention on golf's biggest stage.
Aside from the major championship resume, Nicklaus also managed to win 73 events in his PGA Tour during a golf career that had more comebacks and clutch putts than most of us can remember.
And don't forget about the competition Nicklaus faced in his career, going toe-to-toe with the likes of Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, and Lee Trevino and, more times than not, coming out on top.
