The Sergio Garcia Camp obviously has entered full damage control now in light of the perceptively racist comments the Spanish golfer made about serving fried chicken to Tiger Woods should the two dine together during the U.S. Open next month. A statement previously had been released by Garcia in which he apologized for his fried [...]The post Sergio Garcia publicly apologizes for fried chicken joke about Tiger Woods (video) appeared first on Sportress of Blogitude.

  • IT'S THE SAME OLD RACIST GARBAGE ALL OVER AGAIN. Obviously Garcia lacks the skill to play the game . But he also lacks class and quality of character. A born loser.
  • What a joke regarding Sergio. Granted, he is a bit of a hotheaded Spaniard, much like Seve Ballesteros, one of the greatest golfers ever. Sergio will never be another Seve, but to say that he lacks the skill to play the game is LUDICRIOUS!!!
  • He is another tragic figure whose skill at a sport has given him a stage far greater than his mental capacity.
  • Sergio's brain can't catch up with his tongue....
  • Yo! Stop the presses! Since when did food become racist? Or the person saying it. Seriously? We are talking about FOOD. Can we plaaaaleeez stop with all the kneel bending to kiss The Cheetah's ring or would that be his as!@#$%^&s? Sergio was asked a question, he gave a "tongue in cheek" rhetorical reply, for which I see NO problem with. What would have happened if Sergio said, "ham & cabbage" or "eggs & grits"? Saying "fried chicken" doesn't make it a racist statement! Anymore than saying, a "happy meal" from Micky's D's! Oh, I get it....you all think because the Cheetah is 1/2 black, that "fried chicken" is a racist comment! Geez, I'm sure glad Sergio didn't say "rommen noodles" or "shrimp fried rice." Give it a break, the tour, the media, earth's populace need to STOP treating this spoiled, entitled, cheating, Stanford brat like he isn't a mere mortal. Ernest "tiger" Woods has been a pampered prince since his 2yr old debut on the Mike Douglas show. This chump expects people to kneel down & kiss his tour card. For once, it's nice to see someone who would like to smack the spit out of tiger's mouth. Sergio may not be #1 in the world, but,for a brief Sawgrass moment, right up to the 71st hole, Garcia gave all of us a peak into his can of WHOOPAS@#$%^&*S he had with Tiger's name on it! ')
  • Seriously......Take a f*****g look at McDonalds/Wendy's/Burger King. Every commercial going has a black family in it eating chicken. To be politically correct for the United States you must have black....OOOPS...colored.....OOOPS, African Americans in commercials. Get A grip people, so he said serve chicken big deal, wash it down with some watermelon and Koolaid when your done.

Belichick: Garoppolo has better understanding of NFL

It’s only right that three days after Christmas, the New England Patriots will get to play with their shiny new quarterback. Since Sunday’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills means nothing to the New England Patriots  — they’ve already clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC — keeping their starters in the game for all four quarters seems like a ticking time bomb for injuries...

Lionel Hollins: 'Honored and blessed to coach Kevin Garnett'

BOSTON — Lionel Hollins knows greatness when he sees it. The Brooklyn Nets bench boss has coached Kevin Garnett for just a few short months, but he could not praise the veteran big man enough when speaking with reporters Friday morning. “I’m honored and blessed to have had the opportunity to coach Kevin,” Hollins said before the Nets’ matchup with Garnett’s former...

Curt Schilling gives Johnny Manziel advice on Twitter

Have you ever wondered what advice Curt Schilling would give to Johnny Manziel? No? Well, now we know anyway. The former Red Sox pitcher reached out unsolicited to Manziel on Twitter to give the Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback a bit of a Christmas gift. Some sage advice, if you will — at 1 o’clock on Christmas morning. @JManziel2 Didn't ask for it, but I'll throw it out...

The last time the Lions won in Green Bay

Mel Gray returned a fourth quarter punt 78 yards for a touchdown. Erik Kramer completed two touchdown passes to Robert Clark. The year was 1991, and the eventual NFC Central winning Detroit Lions held off Mike Tomczak and the Green Bay Packers 21-17 at Lambeau Field. Since that fateful December afternoon in Green Bay, the Packers have won 23 consecutive home games against Detroit...

Carmelo Anthony: The Knicks are dying

When all is said and done, the 2014-2015 New York Knicks could easily be the worst team in franchise history. The Knicks, who have never won less than 21 games in a season, have lost 16 of their last 17 this year and have a record of 5-26 after their latest loss on Christmas Day....Read More

Andre Johnson willing to take pay cut with Texans?

One of the easiest ways Andre Johnson could force his way out of Houston would be to refuse to restructure his contract this offseason. Johnson will turn 34 before the start of the 2015 season, and he is set to count roughly $16 million against the Texans’ salary cap. Is he willing to lower that...Read More

Mets star David Wright reaches out to sons of slain NYPD officer

When David Wright heard about the sons of slain NYPD officer Rafael Ramos, he felt obligated to do something.   The New York Mets captain is the son of a cop himself, so on Christmas Eve, he called Jaden and Justin Ramos, who lost their father when he and another officer were murdered in Brooklyn on Saturday. Wright had a 15-minute conversation with the boys and offered them a...

Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Logan Thomas was set to start his first career game this week against the San Francisco 49ers. Richard Sherman: Marshawn Lynch having MVP season

At a time when a lot of the focus surrounding postseason awards in Seattle has been on Russell Wilson, there is another player on the Seahawks who deserves some recognition, maybe even more than the Super Bowl-winning quarterback. That guy is Marshawn Lynch, who Pro Bowl cornerback Richard Sherman talked up regarding his performance this season, saying the former is playing “MVP...
