Here's your May 6th Pin Sheet: Derek Ernst wins at Quail Hollow. Fitting:  Mexican Esteban Toldeo wins Insprerity Championship on Cinco de Mayo. Brendon Todd wins Stadion after final round is washed out. Christie Kerr wins Kingsmill. Brett Rumford goes back-to-back on European Tour. Brian Murphy on Derek Ernst's win:  "Oh, the things a golf writer can learn when researching the life and times of a 22-year-old, quick-swinging bomber ranked 1,207th in the world. Ernst stunned the golf world with a "Hoosiers"-like win over a leader board that included Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy.  What do we know of the guy? Turns out Ernst likes ice cream. Reporters covering his runner-up finish at the 2011 U.S. Amateur Public Links at Bandon Dunes unearthed that, along with an amazing story about getting 10 stitches in his eye as a second grader when he had an accident with a sharp object while making his Mom a present, leading to consistently blurry vision in one eye. Crazy, but true." Jason Sobel recaps a wild week at Quail Hollow:  "It would be an understatement to say they needed a little luck around here. But there it was – in the form of these elite-level talents contending for a title in what can best be described as typical Open Championship-type conditions. At least the event appeared to be salvaged by the big names, validation for a tournament which has earned a reputation as one of the PGA Tour’s best since its inception a year ago." Phil lets Wells Fargo get away from him:  "Still, Mickelson was disappointed and knows he let one get away. It's not the same hurt as some of his close calls in major championships or numerous other blown opportunities. But it was a chance nonetheless for a 42nd PGA Tour victory." Rory's putter lets him down on Sunday. In this video post, Michael Collins wants to know if there should be an age limit to compete on TOUR. This looks fun. There was, evidently, a "Saucer" chip shot.  It has now been deemed illegal.  Therefore, there is no longer a "Saucer" chip shot.
