MATT KUCHAR RUMORS & GOSSIP
When he wasn't thinking about his caddie's deceased wife, Matt Kuchar was busy making plenty of birdies Saturday in the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Kuchar ran off six straight birdies around the turn at the TPC Boston for a 5-under 66 that left him one shot out of the lead among the early starters in the second round.

In the past month or so things haven’t exactly gone Matt Kuchar’s way. He finished 2 strokes back at the Texas Open. At the Houston Open, he found himself in a playoff, only to lose on a holed chip shot by Matt Jones. At the Masters last week, a four putt on the fourth hole was his undoing.
But this week at the RBC Heritage, something finally went Matt Kuchar’s way.
Matt Kuchar hit an incredible bunker shot on No. 18 to win the RBC Heritage on Sunday. Video of his hole out of bunker shot for birdie.

This year’s Masters has been nothing short of amazing. I don;t think I’ve ever seen a Masters with so many different things to talk about. Some of the best players in the world such as Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Jason Dufner all missed the cut and Rory Mcilroy barely made it himself. You got two guys in their 50′s playing terrific golf in Freddie Couples...
Matt Kuchar will be entering the final round one stroke back of the lead, but it was an up and down day on Saturday that got him there. On Saturday, Kuchar hit this putt on #9 at Augusta and almost sank it. Unfortunately for him, his miss trickled past the hole and came to rest some 40 some-odd feet past the hole.

And to be outdone by another player.
Fifteen years ago, he lost a classic match-play duel to then-teen sensation Sergio Garcia in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur on the course that's hosting this week's PGA Championship.

Matt Kuchar was 10-under par on the 16th green when the second round of the Colonial was suspended Friday night because of an impending storm system.
There were 18 groups still on the course, three still with eight holes to play, when play was stopped at 6:38 p.m. The second round at Hogan's Alley will be completed Saturday morning.

The game of golf is all about consistency. The more consistent a PGA Tour player can hit the ball, the more he’s going to be able to score in the red and keep himself in contention on Sunday’s during the major tournaments. That’s exactly what Matt Kuchar was able to do by shooting 68-68-69-70 during the 2012 Players Championship. By the time he was done swinging on Sunday,...
Some call it the “fifth major,” while others simply call it The Players Championship. No matter how you want to look at it, it’s one of the toughest courses for the best players in the world to grind through.
This weekend, it was all about Matt Kuchar, the twelve year pro who doesn’t have the prettiest game, but whose consistent play helped him pass the young guns for his...

If Matt Kuchar is still trying to erase his agony at Augusta, this could be the perfect week for it.
Kuchar is one of few marquee names at the Texas Open that starts Thursday. That could bode well for his chances after his near miss at the Masters two weeks ago, when he finished in a tie for third.
