(Sewell is, coincidentally, number 22 in the black Ridgeway jersey)

There are always going to be those guys who sit around and talk about the “what ifs” and the “what could have beens” of when they played high school sports. But really there’s not much they can do about it—or so I thought.

Apparently, a 22-year-old man in Memphis, Tenn., posed as a student at Ridgeway High School so he could play basketball.

According to a report from Dime Magazine, 6-foot-6 McKinzie Sewell got his wife to sign papers saying she was his guardian, and she helped him forge phony transcripts.

Sewell is a former gang member, according to a report WREG in Memphis. Sewell also has a GED from the state of Louisiana and it seems like his sole purpose of returning to high school was to play basketball.

Now, the Ridgeway basketball team has been ruled ineligible for the state playoffs, despite being just one game away. Even worse, it’s because a player who played marginal minutes off the bench lied about his age.

  • A grown man playing against young boys???I hope this clown is prosecuted for what he has done to the young boys on that team. He stole their season. He stole their reputation. He stole their hard work.

I am surprised the school did not figure this out sooner.

22 years old and in high school. Was he an honor roll student or just another dumb ass who can dribble to the left?

JR Smith sets NBA record for 3-pointers attempted in a game

The Knicks playoff hopes are slowly, but surely, decreasing, and this loss was a killer. Now, the Hawks magic number is four going into the final several days of the season. - J.R. Smith set a few records in this game so that was cool. In the most J.R. Smith-like way, he broke the record for most three-pointers attempted in a game. Half of the shots were awful, but they went in...

Washington Redksins quarterback Robert Griffin III is a pretty popular guy. Yeah, he has his haters like everyone else in the public eye, but that comes with the territory.
