You know, I had this crazy feeling that if we won the World Series that Mad Men star Jon Hamm, a Cardinals fan, would narrate the DVD film. He was not as well known in 2006 when we won seeing as Mad Men would not air until 2007. In any event, his voices provides a nice feeling while watching the highlight film. The set comes with 2 DVDs. The second one featuring the complete instant classic that we call Game 5 of the NLDS--the winner-take-all duel between Chris Carpenter and Roy Halladay. It's interesting that that game is included as it's the only game that I didn't record due to Yom Kippur and now I have the chance to watch it in it's entirety thanks to this set. Now, if you are so inclined to get the bluray, it's all on the same disc and that comes out on December 6, 2011.The first 15 minutes takes us from Spring Training's new hope up until the start of the World Series. It's Jon Hamm's narration that truly does serve as a bridge between the ...

The ongoing subject of Albert Pujols’ age continues to make the papers, still without any substantiation.

Freese's MVP tour brings him back home
ST. LOUIS David Freese had received similar ovations over the past three weeks, and the World Series MVP was celebrated again Tuesday night for his postseason heroics. Albert Pujols’ agent hit by a bombshell report from Deadspin
Back in late September, Dan Lozano told Bob Nightengale of USA Today that being the agent for Albert Pujols and other baseball stars meant always feeling like he was wearing "a target on my back."
Though its inspiration might have been murky at the time it was originally read, the article now reads like a man setting up for a mud-slinging battle he knows is soon coming...
Does it matter that Mike Matheny lives with his in-laws?
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch story that we read over the weekend was one that has unfortunately been told too many times since the housing market collapsed a few years back.
But it was unique in that you don't often hear of a big league manager moving into the home of his in-laws with his wife and his five children.
That's the situation that Mike Matheny faces as he enters...
Why He’s Called “The Riot”
This was posted on Red Reporter a few days ago, and it’s rather hilarious. Witness the awesome fielding of St. Louis Cardinals’ erstwhile shortstop Ryan Theriot.
Hmm. I guess that makes it obvious why he was moved to second base in the middle of the 2011 … [visit site to read more]
