Baseball is only a month old, and it’s already time to start submitting your ballots for the 2013 All-Star Game in New York City. Below are two Hot Corner bloggers’ opinions on players they think should be in this year’s game. David Culver: Paul Goldschmidt, Arizona Diamondbacks First Baseman Goldy was a long-shot to make the team in 2011, and the call up came as a big surprise. Since then, he has been a dominating force at the plate and at the corner infield. At 25, he’ll be around the organization for a while (plus, he just signed a 5-year, $32 million contract). Last year, he was one of the Top 25 National League players in six different categories (AVG; OBP; SLG; OPS; Walks; and Doubles). This year, he already has a .292 batting average, .387 OBP, 5 home runs, 19 RBI’s, and on the fielding side, he is maintaining 1.000 Fielding Percentage, 0 Errors, and been a part of 24 Double Plays.
